OK, so our regular wednesday nights have now become tuesdays, 7.00 - 8.30pm

and as of 7th october Youth Alpha will be the agenda for tuesday nights.

Please remember to come and bring your letters and tell friends. It is a practical introduction to the christian faith for anybody who wants to find out more or is just wants a good night out.

As you know i am going to get married and won't be back for three whole weeks!

well i wouldn't blame them as i have not wrote on it for a month.

There are strange forces at work preventing me, the computer wont keep me signed in and i have to keep retyping my email.

Creation Fest 2008

The dates for the creationfest 2008 is Saturday 2nd August, all day, if you are wanting to come make sure you get a letter and bring in ure fiver. For soul survivor, i am working out food and petrol costs, it may be we need 5 - 10 pound each to cover costs.

this friday youth cafe will contain: street dance workshop wiv jonny b- those interested come ready to rock and bop

this week

we will be meeting wednesday night at 7.oopm untill 9.00pm to play some games at church

we also be meeting friday night for the lighthouse as usual 7-10.30pm

we too will meet on saturday at 4.45pm (yes quarter to 5!) for musical practice followed by BCYF from 5.45 untill 7.45pm (including light snacking) leading into a celbration service from 7.45pm

so lots of chances for fun and games and joy.

cheers for coming to simopns the other day was very helpful,

in answer to those questions bout the mag if i can remember them:

1) we had a decision to make on how much god stuff we put in, too much and we risk losing a large amount of our readership, however we felt the magazines purpose is that of evangelism, therefore we could not compromise that and felt we keep christianity as a real presence through out. We even put jesus saves on the front cover so some people may not even pick it up but see his name, thats jesus name right in the heart of the community.

2) umm colour, we'd love to but it costs a bomb so probabley not, we want too print lots of issues,

3) more pages, maybe why not,

4) we are working on a pdf format online, if u send me 50p plus 23p for postage i'll happily post you one!

Also i am away at waycroft (please pray it goes well!) this weekend but cath has asked me to prepare some stuff for family service, it's not much simply some props for spiritual armour and we'll get you guys to hold them up, so if you come thurs we can plan that as well!

Lots of news!

First: Meet at church at 10:30 wednesday for street evangelism.

second: wednesday evening there is a kenyan evening at church starts 7:30

third: It is a celebration service 6-8 this saturday so please come and a good one for friends/family therefore we cannot do bcyf at normal time. i am happy to to do 4 - 6 maybe music for an hour. please let me know.

fourth: (nai and laura) i am unavailible next thursday to do lunch club at colfox andrew will go ahead with it but may need help with some games, if you want to contribute let me no

Dweeb Gig & Street Outreach

Hello, Hope easter was great for all and u r not suffering chocolate overload! : s

The time to meet for the dweeb gig is 6:30 pm thursday at the fellowship. Dont forget your five punds! (except nai coz she has all ready paid!!!)

Also we are meeting at the fellowship 10.00 am wednesday morning so that we can reach the young people of Bridport in an awesome and powerful way. I will have questionnaires ready and we can use them as a springboard into chatting about the youth cafe and christianity. It is a very exciting oppertunity and a real privilidge! Sea u there!

The admirals are said to pleased with the peach finish applied to the upper room left wing during staurdays expedition. No harful side effects have as yet been noted and all looks set to continue with the development of the room.

I must remind my crew to bring there permission slips and 5 credit notes for the voyage to the Dorchester 8 system. We intend to dock at the corn exchange and make contact with dweebien friends.

If they are deffiently coming they could post there name below and i could get the tickets asap. Assistance is availible if people need it. Just giv me a text.

Any one the universe seems to have alligned it's self with Holy week, i can feel a real sense of God's presence this week. His power is great! It is indeed a happy day.

hello evrybody i hope u have all recovered from the chaos that was saturday night! i may never let alex near a stage again! seriously tho it was fun, always nice to see a bit of drama,

i was real encouraged by band practice, keep jammin!

Ok so saturday was fun, i have not lost the plot and am feeling good about progress.
Heres a couple of things to bear in mind:

1. Get to work on those magazine pieces, remember we gotta be subtley christian. It would be great if laura could post what each person agreed to below.

2. Musical practise, work those hands on those instruments, i wanna play next saturday evening. Facedown is a good song if we can work our way through that one. Any other songs peopel have been practising? please post:

3. i loved that little spiritual chat we had. if anyone has any deep questions dont hesitate to ask. Oh and read that bible, it's a good book, promise.

Just to let you know Molly is very kindly making some food for saturday so come hungry, it is likely to be a lasagne or a pasta type thing. WE ARE NOT PAINTING! : ( the elders and jonny meeting that happenend this week did not happen and as a result is happening this saturday evening. Oh and your all invited so another chance for us to talk about things. It will be cool tho and we will get some concreate oideas down as to the way forward. I always write for ages in these things, i guess i just really like the noise of the keys. Anywho we may have time for a few games.............

Hope 08 Magazine

OK, where were we... after all the excitment of the last few days, ahh yes i remember it seems miss laura has been using her god given creative talents to come up with a wonderful idea. So lets publish a magazine! Theres a few issues i am thinking of immediently, how we gonna deal with them.

1. Are we going to use colour?
Yes it is really effective but can be cost in-affective, should be spending the money on other things? I need a cartridge for my printer anywho, so i will purchase one and look into how many pages we will get out, i shall check out photocopyin as well and see if that will work. We are literally doing this on a budget of nil. I will ask the church but we of course have lots to buy at the mo. If we can cover the costs maybe we will get funding later or raise through sales etc.

2. Charlie and I are going into town saturday morning, heres some quick thoughts on what we will do:

- Mailing list, Name, age, email contact,
- what do you do with your time?
- Do you wish there was more to do?
- What are you into eg football, skating, rock, rap etc
- What do you like about life/bridport?
- What do you dislike about life/bridport?
- What would you change?
- What are your hopes?
- What does Church mean to you?
- What do you know about Jesus?

Any suggestions?

The upstairs room will be getting a paint job soon, probabley our job to do it as our sess on Saturday 1st of March, two sats time. the carpet in the big room will be red and we will have blue up the stairs and in the other rooms. For the main room im thinking some peach action on two walls and a warmer white, like with a twist of lemon on the others. The small room is gonna be a prayer room sp maybe some cool blues or chilled greens. What y'al think?????????

oh n this saturday we are gonna meet at 5.00 as usual but stay through till the celebration service at 7.30

maybe we get some fish n chips in??
